This song is not all that patriotic, in fact it is socialist. And this is comming from a Maoist. Here's the last verse:

"On a bright sunny morning, in the shadow of the steeple

By the relief office, I saw my people

As they stood there hungry, I stood there wondering if

This land was made for you and me."

That verse has a very socialist message, and the song is about how this country is not what is was meant to be.

    What about Yugoslavia!?!?!?

While it was a communist country, it was the most peaceful place in the world in every possible way!!!

When nationalists and "patriots", "democrats" and and other scum of the earth took over, we know what happened!!!

    Learn your history!!!

"Potential terrorist threats"..The last major terrorist attack in the US(Boston marathon),was made by two people that lived and worked inside the US.I can't see how attacking to a whole country can defeat terrorism. Moreover,as you can see,the wars at Afghanistan and Iraq didn't reduce terrorist attacks at all,did they?About the communists,I can't see how wars in Vietnam and Yugoslavia could harm people in America. If it's necessary for someone to intervene, that should the UN,not a single country.

VietKong - another communist threat (look at north korea now, and the trouble they're causing us)

    Yugoslavia - communist again

iraq - potential terrorist threats, bringing the terrorist organization to justice

Hey gamertoboy7 - The biggest socialist enterprise on earth is the $100 billion plus the federal government spends every year on corporate welfare. Before you try and take down a work of art of imperishable truth and beauty, buy a dictionary and do a little research. You could start with the word "compassion."

And was it necessary to destroy afghanistan to kill Bin Laden?I think the way he was killed in the end shows the opposite I think.Or how about Iraq?Americans actually started this war. They started this war, although their excuses for it(the possesion of nuclear/chemical weapons) were proved to be wrong. They started this war, despite of the disagreement of the UN.And not to mention that America had no reason to intervene in wars between other countries, which was the case in Vietnam or Yugoslavia.

Very true many Americans say the same things, it wasn't my choice to do those things. BUT, killing Bin Laden wasn't to stop Terrorism. it was to put him to justice for the things he did, such as the events that took place on 9/11. and in regards into going to other country's, many of us never wanted to be there but you have to know that we only fired unless fired upon. never have we started it.

And what exactly was the danger for people in America from the Vietkongs??Or from the Iraq??Or from Yugoslavia??Or do you think that the war in Afghanistan or the death of Bin Laden could really help to stop terrorism??
