  • @humblephil Of course, Michael Floyd might be the best NFL prospect to come out of ND since Brown, but we won't know that for a while. But again, Brown and Mayes were better overall WR at ND because they played in such conservative offenses and still were able to put up such great numbers, Brown much more of an all-arond weapon than any other WR in ND history, though, that is for sure.

  • @benficaforlife1 I never said that Samardzija was not decent but he got his records in TWO YEARS, which goes to show how awesome Mayes and Brown were because they played in much more conservative offenses. But there has been NO NFL-caliber WR to come out of ND since Brown in 1987. That is what I meant. And honestly, Jeff is better off in MLB. He made the right choice.

  • Your comment about ND not having a decent WR in 30 years is incorrect and Samardja could have played in the NFL if he wanted but he chose baseball instead.

  • @benficaforlife1 Yeah, and Mayes did his damage with 4 QBs in an option offense. And Tim Brown is the best WR in ND history, period. In fact, Brown did his damage in an option offense. Samardzija did his in a pro offense and he never played a down in the NFL because he was a better baseball player. Mayes and Brown were flat-out better.

  • @benficaforlife1 Yeah, and Mayes did his damage with 4 QBs in an option offense. And Tim Brown is the best WR in ND history, period.

  • Ever hear of a guy named Jeff Samardija.

  • @benficaforlife1 And he has done nothing for SEA yet, either. ND WR have been a bust, outside of Tim Brown, at least in the last 30 years....and that hurts me to say, too.

  • @primetime9399 He burned Samari Rolle for two TDs and Rolle was one of the best DBs in CFB while at FSU. Too bad he was too small to make it in the NFL. He was a helluva a weapon in college, that is for sure.

  • @srvaughan121 Me too. Hard to believe that he became the alltime leading WR in ND history in Holtz's offense and the marks stood for so long. If only Floyd could stay healthy next year, I think he might have a chance...but only if he stays next year. Teaming up with Riddick and Rudolph would be awesome. But only if Rudolph and Floyd stay. Here's hoping that they do stay for another year.

  • God, I was such a huge fan of him and Lee Becton.
