Alan Greenspan expresses his surprise that government strong-arming into lending institutions and low inflation caused a housing market collapse.

Reminiscent of a scene from Casablanca, when the German occupation demands that inspector Renault find a way to clear the cafe where anti-German sentiment is exchanged. He then uses the excuse of illegal gambling as his reason, while collecting his winnings, of course!

  • I'm "shocked" that the banking management didn't behave responsibly. Let's bail out banks that are members of the Federal Reserve and give management big bonuses to make sure we keep such top talent.
