A BBC-documentary about NASA's greatest missions and trials. This documentary is one of the few with Neil Armstrong in the cast, along with other astronauts as Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell and John Young, to mention a few of them. This documentary also portraits some of the wives of the astronauts, flight directors as Chris Craft and Gene Kranz and space correspondent Jay Barbree.
The first episode is about the preperation to the Apollo Program with NASA's establishing and the Mercury and Gemini-programe, the Apollo 1 fire and the manned Apollo missions until the first lunar landing made by Apollo 11.
This second part starts with the launch of Apollo 8, and ends with the splashdown of the same mission
The Wives of Apollo 8 were amazing to stay with their husbands to the end.
