i agree i feel that the met is more about image people like fleming and netrebko are overrated to me and should not touch bel canto roles

Delightful! ~ The finest mezzo soprano today ... WHY won't the MET bring her back!?!@#! They are notorious for contracting singers who CAN'T sing the roles, WHY not hire those that CAN? This is a VOICE ... I could listen to Ms. Genaux every day of the year, she knows HOW to sing. BRAVA! AND thanks for whoever finally posted something of her which is BelCanto and not HANDEL! Her voice belongs to Bel Canto and Rossini/Donizetti - Oh, to have her sing a Giovanna Seymor in Anna Bolena!
