You can thank NAFTA and GAT for destroying the USA Technology Industry. Starting with Japan in the late 70's all the advanced technology started to be made overseas. Now SLAVES, CHILD SLAVES in China.. and a lot of WOMEN SLAVES in China make these stupid fucking gadgets that come here and they ring up a nice 500% markup on it because slave labor is so fucking cheap. I do despise Apple as much as Greenpeace, yet I have to give it to Greenpeace for thinking they have the authority to pressure (well attempt to do so) Apple. It is their own company and based in the US. So in my opinion, I see it stupid that Greenpeace is using the toxin bans in the EU as a reason for them to do so as well.

Maybe factories in China (not sure that all components made in china)
But it neeeds only 3 major consumer powers (US, EU, JP) to ban import of that shit and believe me, you will see new factory in your backyard within 1 year and be able to recycle iPhone just using tap water and salt :).
