I'm not a Seagal fan and don't agree with all of his politics, But I do HIGHLY respect him as a martial artist. I myself have been practicing  JKD for 18 years and I now teach it. And am 32 years old. And any real martial artist (not web warriors) know that Seagal is not to be fucked with. I swear, Ever since the internet came, young people have so much wikipedia knowledge but haven't really lived a single day to truly know anything. Just arrogant opinions.

@MrJrodarod On one interview Seagal said: "I'm too tall for aikido". And that's right. It's obvious you don't know much about aikido because small people have a great advantage in aikido. Their techniques work much much better on taller people. The disadvantage of tall people is that they don't need to learn technique properly...unless they meet somebody taller and stronger. And a good sensei should teach aikido to work on everyone!

He doesn't need strength because his opponent weighs a buck ten, not even exaggerating. Don't come with bullshit about how size isn't a factor, they can't find someone of average size??? If Seagal stood and let his apprentice just unload on him with everything he had you think he would be in much pain??? I wrestle with my nephew and ratio of his body size to me is the same as the student to Seagal. He doesn't need to use akido on him, just an outstretched arm. I agree a knife would change things

I can't believe the amount of raging reply's I got from this comment. I don't doubt Steven Seagal's ability, I don't have any experience in kung pow. I like watching Seagal for his wonderful cheesy-ness. I don't think I'm an expert, I think I pointed out something that was funny. I would think an incredibly intelligent, and badass Akido MASTER like Brady2k10 would recognize sarcasm, and have some mental fortitude.
