XR6T vs Commie SV8

At poercruise 2011 at Eastern Creek, down the main straight in my XR6T ute having a little run with a VY SV8, think its got a massive cam in it.
He started going a little before me and then i did kinda start pulling him in a little bit but was a great run and that SV8 had some BALLS!!!

hey mate, nah thats not me, i am in a BA blood orange XR6T ute, everything about my ute though is FPV, all interior is out of a GT, wheels and breaks off a F6, gearbox is a built up 4-speed auto cos they r shit, and the motor is out of a BA MkII F6 Typhoon.

What have u got done to urs? did u have it there?

@enginerebuilder1 I've raced stock FG XR6 Turbo's & BA/BF F6's in my stock 2011 VE SS ute & havent lost yet.

I've also been drilled by a stock FG F6 though.

I give credit where credit is due & Ford//FPV have worked wonders with the turbo 6. But what makes me laugh is that Holden has been kicking Fords arse for the last 16 years. The new Fords/FPV's are fantastic cars, but they aren't changing the sales figures & therefore the general consensus that Holden/HSV make better cars.

@MrLucasewens .... no shit sherlock whole point is its a six not an 8 and the 8s got 1.7L on it so obviously if the v8s got forced induction it would beat the Ford I6.

@300holden look mate, dont get me wrong..i love the LS series V8, I own an LS3..but you can't deny that Fords DOHC turbo straight six isn't one of the best engines put in a stock car..injectors, exhuast and tune and its a LS1 killer..these turbo motors are like the 350 chevs in their day..reliable, powerful and plentiful!

@enginerebuilder1 thats the way i like em simple, ohv, big cubes, makes a better sound, sounds like a real engine, GM proove the old tech still works very well the Ls1 V8 has a best quartermile time of 6.7 sec..... theres even n/a Ls1's running 9's! how does having quad cams and vct make a engine better? if it works it works. fords boss 5.4 absolute fail of a V8 quad cammed etc etc you gotta pull the hole engine out to fit an exhaust what a joke
