A Ruthian Wallop. Very nice camera view. I'm impressed.

@714hr today's pitchers would get him out better than they did back then-hell, he hit .342 against that "great"pitching back then...and he never faced the split-finger or the slider...he would be great but not any better than Pujols or Howard or A-Rod today...baseball is baseball and there were shitty teams and pitchers back then Babe fattened up on-as great hitters are supposed to do

From this footage it's clear that baseball hasn't changed that much since the Babe's time. It looks exactly like any modern game. AMAZING!!!

Ruth had 714 career home runs..:/ Great footage nonetheless, never seen him captured from an angle like that before..

Very cool, try it with other big homers like Thompsons in 51 or Mazerowski's in '60.

very simply the best ever.he was an underated outfielder with a good arm,one of the best and most clutch pitchers 29 strait scoreless innings in wold series play,a .342 lifetime hitter, with 714 hrs and 15 in world series play.imagine him today with his talent hitting this lame ass waterd down pitching.THE BABE.

lol notice how the crowd is all bunch together while nowadays wed fight if somemany were stuck together.
And they all are wearing thesame kind of hats. lol

No, Ruth takes it out to RF, not the opposite field. Pretty amazing plate coverage, to take a pitch on the outside corner and pull it like that.

looks like he took him to left field! cool footage .
Is this footage real?? I know that's the Hawk, but the video looks incredible! Or am I just an idiot??

Yes that is actual footage of the Babe. It's the only shot of him batting from the outfield that I am aware of which makes it even cooler. It almost looks like a scene from a modern game except the footage is so old.
