HP Buys Palm; Kevin Rose Drops the iPhone! - Diggnation ...

From engadget, "HP has just announced that it's acquiring Palm to the tune of $1.2 billion, which works out to $5.70 per share of Palm common stock. The deal is planned to close by July 31, which marks the end of HP's third fiscal quarter of the year. Current Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein is "expected to remain with the company," though it's not said in what capacity. Kevin goes on to discuss his new toy, the Droid Incredible! He broke is iPhone, and although he can now actually make calls... the Android apps just suck compared to Apple. Spoken like a true fanboy.

i agree to a point, but the iphone isn't THAT great. I personally like my Incredible, and the apps are great. And yes, I've owned an iphone, and i don't miss it.

yes you can get the iPhone and unlock it for T-Mobile USA... with data plans and everything, it just won't be on 3G because of slightly different networks

This is painful to watch for so many reasons. I hate when non-technical people talk about things like smartphones because they're unable to eloquently describe their thoughts and gloss over details that are extremely important. The iphone is a nice experience, but the whole, multiple things running destroys my battery life argument is a tad ridiculous, there are many smartphones that manage excellent battery life figures while running simultaneous processes. See Nokia, Rim, Windows Mobile, Palm.

I have a question. Why are people soo big on their phones when they can just buy a laptop. If you want a good camera than buy a DSLR camera. And Video chat on a phone is cool.... but I wonder how many car accidents there will be because people are video chatting while driving

Android devices are awesome I don't there are very cool apps for android now it 50,000 apps yay I would say apps are better on th iPhone but android does almost as good. Also the fact that you can make phone calls, multitask, install unsigned programs, proper dual led flash, 8mp camera, and expansion slots make the androids better.
