  • can i do this same procedure for the curve 8520? please get back to me ASAP. thnx

  • @KIckzManProductions I haven’t done this on BB 8520 but its most likely to be the same. Just remember to purchase the correct PCB membrane .Regarding the alcohol it is better to use pure alcohol but if you don’t have any then I guess that you can use different types as well. Just make sure to use it very little since you don’t want to get the main board of your phone wet.

  • I think u should first let the phone dry completely and if that didn't solve the problem you can try the procedure shown in the video and change your phones pcb membrane. If that didn't help then probably your phone's circuit board is damaged

  • @Manimanimm Hi, my green call button doesn't work. I disassembled my keypad and tried puttin a new keypad in but the green call button still doesn't work. Do you think getting a new membrane will do the trick?

  • @sami66667 Hi, I think changing the membrane could solve your problem unless your phone's circuit board is damaged.

  • Thank you!

  • Lol, actually I broke my BB after I replaced the membrane by cracking the screen so i got an iphone instead LOL

  • @geeiang my A button is also really messed up.. did you replace the membrane?

  • Hi... I took my phone apart to change my keyboard(not membrane) and after putting it back together, the volume buttons, side key, and and camera flash don't work. The camera itself does work. Will changing the membrane fix the problem, or do I have to get the whole back housing? Thanks.

  • @Manimanimm tnx, very good advice

  • Hi their, thank you this was really helpfull for me, is it possible to use any alcahol i would find around the house? or dose it need to be pure alcahol (99.9%), pleas get back to me as i do phone repairs and i will be having another phone to repair in 2 days.

  • @magneticwindows Thanks! I'm going to try that. My "a" button is really messed up so I'm hoping your advice will work!! :)
