35017 Merchant Navy class locomotive "Belgian Marine" visits Guildford, in April 1996.

Bulleid Pacific Merchant Navy class 35017 "Belgian Marine" calls at Guildford on it's way up the main line. In fact 35017 had been scrapped many years before, so this was another loco masquerading as "Belgian Marine". If memory serves me correctly it was "Clan Line", unless you know better.

Yes, Clan Line was what I believed to be. Though one of the Support Team was wearing a hi-vis jacket marked "34027 Taw Valley", which caused some confusion. Thanks for your comment.

Yep it was Clan Line. Clan Line is also masquerading as Belgian marine this Christmas as well.

That is definately a MN class 35028 Clanline - You can always tell the difference with a Merchant and West County Class! Besides; if anything 35028 is always turned out in the best i have seen any Bulleid!!
