Jeff Beck was always ahead of his time when it came to playing his guitar. Check out his to albums he recorded in the 70's (blow by blow / wired). It will touch your soul.

@PhilipK100 Or Jeff Beck and David Gilmour. Search for the two of them playing the song Jerusalem...

Two things that would be cool, A Jeff Beck/Rollling Stones album, or if he was still around, A Jeff Beck/Jimi Hendrix Album... now that I would queue up overnight for!!!

@MotleyCrueGOD It trascends technique. You just have to play without fear, without worrying what the next note will be or what the last one was, or what anyone thinks about the note you're playing now. Sometimes it doesn't quite happen but when it does you sound like the voice of God. But there's no safety net so when you crash and burn you sound shite .... but that's what makes players like Jeff Beck so exciting to listen to, you never know quite what to expect!

relies to much on speed ? that's the crazy you don't have a clue what your talking about.. satch is a blues player and his phrasing is amazing hes a song writer ! jeff is good but this is just a solo to me its not a song he could never writ like joe

@satchrules101 shredding does not equal phrasing. satriani is a great player but he relies too much on speed and technique. a lot of his stuff is just wanking, filling the space with as many notes as possible.

He is timeless. From the first note I heard the man played on Ended as Lovers, I was hooked. El Becko is one of the reasons I keep going as a guitar player. YOU MUST SEE HIM LIVE. It's something you will NEVER forget. Jeff Beck is one of the greatest to have touched the electric guitar.. I'll preach it until the day I die.
