The Final Lap of Phil. Racing Legend, Pocholo Ramirez

Last March 29th, the late Philippine racing legend Mr. Pocholo Ramirez took his "last lap" at the Subic International Raceway in his own race car, driven by his son Kookie. "Tito Poch" as he is known to many, passed on a few weeks back, and his family saw it as the most fitting final honor to bestow to him- one final burning lap in the place that was virtually his second home. His remains were aptly placed beside his favorite trophy, which he received after finishing 2nd decades ago at the historical Macau Grand Prix.

Friends and family drove in convoy all the way to Subic to pay tribute to a true Gentleman, Philippine Racing Legend Pocholo Ramirez. Rest in peace Tito Poch, your memory will remain an inspiration to many.

I dedicate this video and my original song "Langit Sa Piling Mo" to Tito Poch and the entire Ramirez family.

How sad, sorry I didn't go, I just can't take emotional events like this. Tito Poch was the first guy that taught me how to drive SIR and I didn't even have to ask him. He will be a great inspiration for me forever. He's one of a kind hero.

I remember the night before my first kart race and as he handed me his old race suit, his advice " Brake as little as possible". In life, I believe he did the same in life. Well lived Tito Poch.
