Love this guy's records! I recall when this came out in the spring of '62. This is pretty much my favorite of his records. I love the way his voice is double-tracked from the second verse on and he harmonizes with himself with the double-tracking. They used that on many of his recordings. Beautiful and very sentimental. Thank you for posting.

This is my fav Bobby song.
Bobby was the first live show I saw at age 13, he was appearing with The Springfields, before Dusty went solo and Clarence Frogman Henry.

I heard somewhere that Liberty Records backed Bobby up with an orchestra which made the recordings even better. It's too bad there's no more good time rock n roll like this song. I'm sure most everyone (me included) has shared someone sometime in their life.

i first heard this song this morning. when i was sitting in one of the retro mcdonalds, 15 mins before work. im only 22 and when i heard the lyrics it struck a chord in me because i am in a similar situation. it was a big wake up call, now i realize i need to stop seeing her and move on because i shouldn't have to share, i deserve better.

@Brent441 Thanks so much; I'll check!
Does anyone recall the Bobby Vee song from 1969 or the early 1970s, called "Electric Trains and You"? I'd love to find it again!
