back in 2004 my family and I drove from Charlotte, NC to Pittsburgh, PA in a minivan rented from Avis from CLT, also did the same back in 2003 (but not with a minivan, drove an old nissan sentra)

4 yrs. ago I went from Niagara Falls to Tennessee, and drove through West Virginia. I thought is really cool driving through the tunnel.

i bet it is quiet a view.. i have been in the upstairs of the tunnel.. but never been thru the mountain over the tunnell..

i live right there in bluefield wv. where the east river mountain tunnel starts. have you ever tried going over the mountain instead of through the tunnel? its an awesome view

At 16 seconds if you look to the right you can see my house..It on top of the mountain where it has been timbered.
