First of all you have to understand that Atonement is NOT for your self and its not for damn grinding. It is obvious that you smite the Boss in order to heal the tank. At the same time it reduces penance cd. So... smite, smite, smite (at the boss)+(heals the tank coz its closer to the boss) and then penance to the tank.
And second... you DON'T skip evangelism if you don't do grinding. FFS its the most important skill you get. You need it in order to get 5 stacks and heal more with your smite.

@GiorgosZiotas I have two videos on this channel about smite healing (the other one is the Argaloth video). It was powerful when i was introduced, but it was nerfed so bad that it is utterly useless, especially in raids.
