@ebedelohim Actually it is; not Judaism itself - indeed it is a religion. However being Jewish does not at all imply that you are religious, does it? In the former USSR (where I'm from) being Jewish was considered a nationality, believe it or not. And regardless of the evil purposes behind it, it's not the craziest idea; because Jewish"ness" has more to do with blood and tradition then anything else; therefore even though "race" may not be the correct term, I think it is the closest description.
