I was comfortable in a nice position to view Oprah from a distance until NBC kicked the public off their plaza around 2pm saying that it was private property. I guess because Oprah isn't on NBC. Soon after barricades were put up to prevent public from entering the plaza. The police made it impossible for the public to watch the show from the sidewalks along Michigan Avenue. Public was constantly told to move away. Lucio the camera man for Telemundo was nice and covered for several of us and told officers we were part of his crew. This allowed us to sit to the left of the Stage and not leave Michigan Avenue which they eventually closed off to the public. After Alfozo, the Telemundo journalist did his segmant and Lucio was through with the job, several of us were able to sneak by the screens to view the rest of the show until the police kicked us off again. Fortunately I found an opening in the barricade on NBC plaza and I was able to come full circle by the end of the night and I ended up back in my original spot towards the end of the show.
I know never to even attempt to go to any of these TV show events in the future since everyone makes it so hard for the public to view it from public areas.
