-Inspired by Andrew Lam (author of Perfume Dream)

After the Fall of Saigon and the uprising of Vietnamese' exodus, many civilians fled from their home country due to the constraint of the new communist regime under the command of Ho Chi Minh. This video explains the personal struggles and hardships that both Ba and Ma(Boat People)went through as they journey to America.

What's your story?

Note: I apologize for some of the pixelated video quality, some footage were taken from old war clips.

  • The 20th century had been a great disaster for the human being, it's estimated that more that 150 millon people perished due to wars, famine, bad governance and corruption and natural disasters. I have great sympaty for the boat people, wish those that could find an opportunity to success in other countries and society do their utmost to help their country men.
