Greatest Show on Dirt at Manzanita Speedway 03/28/09

This is the last time the World of Outlaws will race at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona. As you may or may not know, Manzanita Speedway is closing on April 11, 2009...hopefully they find a new location for the track.

Chad Kemenah ended up taking first, Steve Kinser was a close second followed by the Dude rounding out the top three.

I sure hope they find a new location for Manzanita to rise again in the Phoenix metro areathis track is definitely going to be missed.

It's over. I'm sure they'll eventually build another dirt track in Arizona, but it doesn't matter what they call it. It won't be a 1/2 mile, and it won't have the history. It's the last 1/2 mile in the southwest. Perris and Las Vegas are smaller though they call themselves a 1/2 mile. Manzanita was big, as big as Knoxville. When the outlaws came to town and qualified on a well prepped and fast track, it was a sight to behold to see how quick they went through turn 3. But it's over.

I knew that track like the own back of my hand. Ill never forget Manzy, August 25, 1951 to April 12, 2009. The Track Built on Action, killed by mel martin.

I was at this race and i enjoyed every last second of it. im gonna miss Manzanita and im sure many other people will. it was a unique track that cant be replaced. Gonna miss u manzy!
