AMV shown at Anime Nebraskon. I'm still amazed it placed (amazed as in I wanted to scream and/or cry when it showed up on screen but I did neither ^^;), even if I did h4x just by using this anime and all its old-underused-ness. o_o;; *spazz powaa* But hey, underused is what I enjoy most. x]
But yeah, I guess this wound up falling under "Best Efects" or something. Could say I placed second. Beats what I expected by a long shot. xP
Yes, this is Papersak, I just don't want my other account deleted... ^^;
Anime: Big O
Song: DoLL (by TERRA/ beatmania IIDX/ DDR SuperNOVA)
Oyeah, if you've seen the original video on IIDX, you'll notice I made a few references to it. ^^; Even though I suck at that game.
I'd also like to note that I used Windows Movie Maker for the basic vid, Flash MX for the effects (PAIN), InterwinDVD to convert the effects, and VirtualDubMod to crop out the logo cause I'm very cheap and recorded the show off adult swim. xP
That aside, watch away.
LOVE BIG O!!!!!

It's terribly sad. Roger is totally in love with Dorothy. Dorothy, being a robot, cannot love him back. And Angel is in love with Roger and bitterly mocks him for loving a robot.
Sci-fi is bitter.

Loved it. Big O has always been one of my favorite animes ever, even if the ending was confusing no matter how many times I saw it. The chemistry between the characters was what brought me back every time. I always found the "Love Triangle" between Roger, Dorathy, and Angel entertaining with how it isn't like other animes. All time favorite character from Big O though had to be Schwarzwald. Madman with a purpose.

Eh, I'd've liked subs too, but at least at the time of making this video, there wasn't a translation of the whole song, only the short version version, anywhere and I don't know Japanese. :x
I went by the song's title and the little bits and pieces of the translation I could find/understand. I suppose my main objective was to get the clips to match the tempo and music or something... ^^;
Thanks for watchin, though. :3

It's hard to judge an AMV in a language you don't understand. I can only make a vague guess as to whether the lyrics have anything to do with what's on screen. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of random clips with slide animations. The best I can do is relate the beat and music with some of the actions. I'm sure you put a lot of heart and soul into this, but I would have appreciated subtitles.

& I liked the 1940's - 50's film noir aspect of the series. Androids, megadeuses & computers, yet they still use old fashioned rotary - dial telephones.

True.
Although I do have something of a weakness for big - breasted bimbos...... hehehehehehheh.......
Her voice actress Lia Sargent, also did the voice of Judy on the " Ponch & Judy " Bounty - Hunters segment on " Cowboy Bebop ". She said she didn't like the Judy character much.
R. Dorothy kind of reminded me of a less cutesy - ootsy version of " Vicky " from the mediocre 80's sitcom " Small Wonder ". & she did kind of make you care about her. Dorothy, that is, not Vicky !!

I like her for the fact that she's NOT a big-breasted bimbo, or an angsty loner, or an uber-cutesy girl with a squeaky high-pitched voice.
She's just very cool and stylish, and attractive in a slightly geeky kind of way.

& she reminds me - I can't believe I'm saying this - of a more adult version of " Vicky " from the lame - o 80s series " Small Wonder ".
