@rosswharrison With all my respect.. I dare say that Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks are not bad Rockers either;-) They all have the good stuff and I do love them all.

devil possession? try listening to the words. This is a love song. Patti is awesome. I saw her open for Neil Young. (the greatest rock and roller of all time.) and she was fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I've only seen Patti Smith live once: this was before she ever made any records...She read from some of her 'literature' at the YWHA in downtown Philly, circa 1975-76....My girlfriend was a big fan, had some of her booklets...I didn't quite get it...She spent about an hour sitting there, eating a greasy hoagie, telling little stories and quoting from her stuff.
This is a great song however, top notch, although Patti still has that 'witchy' look....'Comin on like some heroin'...Band sound good.
