Google "hyperdrive" (ignore the data storage company's site).

Damn, you need to share some of that good weed with the rest of us!

This is exactly what I see every time I'm high...

@NANOFORGE so kind like in sg they can't interact with realspace...hm well it is an interesting concept nonetheless but i just had to provide minor clarifications. apologies if it seemed like i was challenging you lol.
-
@AresVallis Yeah Warp drive works in a similar way to SG hyperspace, where the ship folds a bubble of subspace around itself by using matter and anti-matter annilation to achieve FTL speeds instead of actually entering the phenonemon, Thing is there is no law in physics etc that says that is'nt possible, problem is how this will be achieved is totally beyond me. In SG, ships cannot interact with objects outside hyperspace meanwhile at Warp ships can interact with objects which are not at warp.
-
@AresVallis I wouldn't necessarily call it fictional. Believe it or not, this is part of theoretical physics.
-
@NANOFORGE actually apparently both ideas are essentially the same "it was alternately described as a parallel universe, an extra dimension of space, an alternate mode of physical existence, or simply the universe as viewed traveling faster than the speed of light." the only difference is that in stargate it's called subspace lol so it'd be more like warp
-
@AresVallis True, but in StarGate hyperspace is in a sperate space time which ships travel through i.e ships open a window to hyperspace and then enter it. In Star Wars, ships travel at FTL speeds in normal space time. However Star Wars refers to that travel as Hyperspace and yes it did come before StarGate.
-
@NANOFORGE true but both are the same. As this is hyperspace >> and it kinda came before stargate...

@henf5671 shush it's hyperspace...don't get technical over something fictional.
This is how I get to college on a morning
