@pitsthetruth lol who told you that the APBT is the ultimate fighting dog pound for pound fact
-
@mjfromga89 uhm no wrong that's why they parted them to recognize the difference

My dog has bitten another dog before and didn't let go the only thing you can do is hold both dogs still to minimise damage to the other dog and wait for the bull terrier with the bite to snap out of it and let go or carry a metal spanner or screw driver with you to pull to the back of the dogs mouth each time it go's past one tooth the dog will not be able to bite down eventually getting to the back teeth and jaw forcing the dog to open it's mouth and releasing thd other dog (Watch your finger

Lol@the comments about saying point out the APBT like there is only one Pitbull and it's American the pitbull was first made in Ireland then brought to America or breed in America by Irish americans first APBT was bull dog X White terrier (which is now extinct ) the first PitBulls where and are still called Irish Staffy's which is where the blue nose came from if you was talking about the American bully that would be different but it's not America should stop trying to take credit for the Pitbu

@wideawake123 The aggression and that "they do don't stop" thing, depends on the individual dog. My family has had many dogs in our past, and our pitbulls were always the most well behaved and the least aggressive. Yes, when they bite SOME pitbulls don't let go, but that's usually because they were originally bred for bull baiting, hog hunting, and yes, even dogfighting, and the dogs today haven't been trained to let go. And did you know almost over half pit attacks were mistaken identity?

@HugABull1 I agree with your statement about bite strength, however, it's in the nature of a pit bull not to let go...and to shake. Trauma surgeons compare the wounds pit bulls leave with shark-bites. I wont post examples of individual cases but let's not kid ourseves about them being "...just like all other dogs. :)", :), out of the 100s of medium and large breeds in the world over half of deaths by dog-mauling are caused by one(3) breed(s)...pit bulls. They dont let go and they dont stop.

@wideawake123 Actually, I'm not meaning any offense by this or anything, but the Pitbull doesn't have the strongest dog bit. But German Shepards and Rottweiler have been proven to have strong bite forces. And a pitbull won't just automatically jump into a fight. Pitbulls are just like all other dogs. :) Again, no offense or anything. I just needed to point that out. :)

You need to understand that "pit bull" classifies three breeds of dogs. The American Staffordshire Terrier, The American Pit bull Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull terrier. I know what you're trying to do, but you did not do it correctly. The title should state "spot the american pit bull terrier".

@pitsthetruth actually the Shar Pei was breed as a farm utility/guard dog, they were drugged and thrown in a pit with other dogs......of course they fought. their success was due to their extra skin. BUT they were not breed as fighters

@sparkles1321 The Dogo isn't a fighting breed. It's a big game hunting dog bred from the Cordoba Fighting Dog, but the "fight" was intentionally bred out, and other socially desirable traits bred in. Dogos are social dogs that work well with other dogs and though literally twice as big as a Pitbull, are wonderful pets, safe around kids and tolerant of abuse. They're not suited for fighting because of their gentle disposition...but if a puma, bear or boar wanders in, they become the White Hunter.
a pit bull is any fighting or gripping dog.

@pitsthetruth Absolutely NOT. The Pit Bull is the American Pit Bull Terrier.
So Boston Terriers are Pit Bulls?
Or Shar-Pie?
How about the Kerry Blue Terrier or Akita? Those are Pit Bulls?
Sorry hun, but the only 'Pit Bull' is the American PIT BULL Terrier. Hence the name.
