My Gabby is really hungry by the time the month is up. The camera was already inside her cage running when I noticed the leaves of her plant were obscuring the view. Watch her when I use the hook to reposition the plants.

  • I almost jumped outta my seat at 1:31

Damn that was a quick strike.

Gaboons always seem so slow/docile yet they can explode like that in a millisecond

    Great video, Thanks

  • Yes, that's why to never enter the kill zone

  • Wow. The Gabon is so powerful and active it looks more like a crocodile/wolf attacking it's prey than a snake the way it lunges and thrashes it's head... more "lively" and "warm blooded"... if you get my drift...

    Q's:

Are there any venomous snakes that could be considered more "mammal"/intelligent than others? Perhaps one that stands out?

Do you ever regulate their enviroment (temp) before handling them like they do with bees?

  • King Cobra's and Mamba's are exceptionally intellegent.

Sometimes I will chill somebody down if they are not so cooperative at warmer temps.

  • damn I did jump out of my seat lol...WHolly crap....my heart is in a place I can't mention right now.

  • That was great idea to put the camera in the enclosure so that we get a "snake's eye view" of both the animal itself and an idea of what the animal sees.

  • cocked & ready
