Also, the best dancers make a few, simple moves beautiful & effortless - it's not supposed to look hard!it's extremely important for performers to travel & use space especially w/that music she's dancing to. It's not like a drum solo that might call for less traveling.A dancer who doesn't move & just tries to stick as many of the hardest most technical moves they know into a choreography is not a great dancer in my opinion.but we are all entitled to disagree!

as a dancer myself, i love her style. You may want to consider that not all styles require absolute rigid isolation. her pelvis and torso don't always necessarily have to act as separate entities.

as a dancer myself, personally i love salome's style.consider that not all styles require rigid isolation - torso & pelvis don't absolutely have to be separate entities for it to be excellent oriental dance.

I've seen much better. Her movements aren't fluid enough, and her torso and pelvis aren't acting as separate entities.

I agree - her movements are not fluid. What I'm seeing is, she'll do some turns, then stop and do a bellydance move or 2 for 2 to 4 beats, then she walks around and turns, and does the same thing... over and over, throughout the dance. I do think she has isolations, but they're all so short lived, no really difficult maneouvers in this whole dance.
