Sono ormai passati diciassette anni dalla strage di via D'Amelio a Palermo in cui furono uccisi Paolo Borsellino, Emanuela Loi, Agostino Catalano, Vincenzo Li Muli, Claudio Traina e Walter Eddie Cosina, vale a dire il giudice e gli uomini della scorta.
Nonostante la magistratura e le forze dell'ordine abbiano individuato e perseguito numerosi mandanti ed esecutori della strage, rimangono pesanti zone d'ombra sulle entità esterne all'organizzazione criminale Cosa Nostra che con questa hanno deliberato e realizzato la strage stessa.
Per il 19 luglio di quest'anno, una domenica come 17 anni fa, tanti cittadini della società civile insieme alle redazioni di www.19luglio1992.com e di www.ANTIMAFIADuemila.com hanno dato vita, al posto delle solite commemorazioni, ad una manifestazione popolare articolata in una serie di iniziative con lo scopo di chiedere che fosse fatta giustizia e di sostenere tutti i Servitori dello Stato che nel corso di questi anni hanno sempre dato il meglio di sé affinché questo diritto di tutti fosse tradotto in fatti.
La società civile ha voluto così evitare che quest'anno, delle persone che spesso indegnamente occupano le nostre Istituzioni arrivassero in via D'Amelio, come più volte è successo nel passato, a fingere cordoglio ed assicurarsi così che Paolo fosse veramente morto; ha voluto impedire la celebrazione di riti di morte per chi, come Paolo Borsellino e i suoi ragazzi, sono oggi più vivi che mai.
Da tutta Italia sono giunti in tanti, e tutti con una agenda rossa in mano per ricordare i misteri che ancora pesano su Via D'Amelio, i processi che vengono bloccati appena arrivano a toccare gli "intoccabili", i mandanti di quella strage.
Da Via D'Amelio, con quell'agenda in mano, la marcia delle agende rosse si è snodata fino al Castello Utveggio, il posto dal quale una mano, che non era la mano di un mafioso ma di chi con la mafia ha stretto un patto scellerato, ha inviato il comando che ha fatto a pezzi Paolo e la sua scorta.
Seventeen years have already gone by since the massacre of D'Amelio Street in Palermo, Italy that killed Paolo Borsellino, Emanuela Loi, Agostino Catalano, Vincenzo Li Muli, Claudio Traina and Walter Eddie Cosina, i.e. the Judge and his five bodyguards.
Many instigators and perpetrators of the massacre have been identified and prosecuted by Judges and Police. However, a heavy shadow is still cast over the entities outside the Criminal Organization Cosa Nostra that cooperated with it in deciding and carrying out the assassination.
This year, July 19 fell on a Sunday just like 17 years ago, and many citizens of the Italian civil society together with the editorial staff of www.19luglio1992.com and www.Antimafiaduemila.com gave life to a unique popular demonstration not just the usual commemoration. Such demonstration included a series of initiatives aimed at seeking justice and supporting all those Civil Servants who throughout these years have always done their best to turn the universal right to justice into facts.
In this way, our civil society wanted to prevent people who often undeservedly occupy seats in our institutions from coming to D'Amelio Street to pretend sorrow and to make sure that Paolo is really dead as it happened many times in the past. It also wanted to prevent death rituals from being celebrated for those who, like Paolo Borsellino and his young bodyguards, are today more alive than ever.
Many people arrived from all over Italy, holding a red diary in their hands to remember the mysteries that still today hang upon D'Amelio Street, the trials that get stopped as soon as they touch the untouchable instigators of this assassination.
From D'Amelio Street holding up red diaries, the Red Diary March snaked all the way up to Utveggio Castle, the place from where a hand which wasn't that of a mafia member but that of someone who made a wicked deal with the mafia operated the remote control that tore Paolo and his bodyguards into pieces.
