Barry Shitpeas' Chuckle Castle would be the greatest thing ever produced if it existed.
-
So, if this is how it works, how did Screeenwipe make it on the air relatively unscathed? Or does Brooker secretly think his show is crap and stick around for the paycheck?
-
never realized until he said it
Charlies does look like a white Laurence Fishburne
-
This doesn't happen with books... does it?
If it does... I worry for my manuscript... TT^TT
-
@Misishaxi Sometimes Charlie does go uncensored on the F-bombs, but that's only to emphasise a particularly serious point that any bleeping is likely to undermine. A particularly good example was during an understandably grim moment in his review of The Baby Mind Reader.
-
@Misishaxi I'm not sure it was ever meant to be funny in hindsight. Brooker and Morris were deliberately shitting on some of their biggest fans with those characters.
-
@Misishaxi The bleeps are so short the words essentially sound like "fu-bleep-ck". Noone else on Screenwipe is bleeped, no matter how potty mouthed they get.
-
So incisive! Can't think of many people who blend great comedy with informative lectures so well.
Wish some more TV execs could actually listen to this guy and change their godawful policies
-
Mike Bradley (the idea) surely suffers alot filming Screenwipe.

@bubbagump562001 You'll hear the F word on Screenwipe occasionally. Charlie just bleeps his own F-bombs because he thinks it makes them sound funnier.
Can you say "shit" and "fuck" on British TV? Just curious, that only happens on special prime time or premium cable movie channels in America (I think, I can't afford either -_- )

@bubbagump562001 The basic rule is: yes after 9pm. They are still meant to warn you before the program starts and sometimes they bleep it anyway, though.

Anyone get the feeling that he is basically telling the story of the production behind the Nathan Barley sitcom in this clip?

I think it's far more likely to be based on the ill-fated 2001 TV series version of TVGoHome.
