27 Dresses got so much heat.. even I was hesitant to watch.. but one night I buckled down to watch it and I don't understand how Wall-E could get more props than this flick. It was perfect. And Katherine Heigl performed perfectly for her role. She made you feel her pain. I enjoyed it.. I watched it in repetition.

Pretty much the entire movie was worth seeing for this one scene. I mean, I liked the rest, but this is the part that's stuck with me.

This actually uses Elton's original recording; for this to happen he has to give it his okay.

And as you point out, this brought his masterpiece to a whole new audience.

Moreover Elton is given to the most extraordinary acts of generosity; for one, Kiki Dee in an interview related how he gave her the performance rights to their duet "Don't Go Breaking My Heart"; even John Reid, his estranged manager, had nothing but praise for his former charge.
