Pray Lets all blissfully forget ourselves and listen to this divine song sung by divinely blessed singers in divine harmony on this divine day when the totally ego-less Natha Brahmam merged with the Lord! In concordance with the Saint lets also pay homage to all the noble souls, past and present, OM (or Amen as one would prefer)

To Mr.Karnataka,
Before Purandaradasa, their is Annamacharya, who is the first VAGGEYAKAARUDU than all other saints in music, and he hails from Telugu. The chief contributors in CARNATIC music is from telugu ,because of their negligence it was taken by Tamilians.Karanataka has also made good contribution.

why u ppl cant enjoy a slice of heavenly music without getting into these egoistic comments about state/language ? I mean what we are getting out of this ? add some useful info like - the next part of this concert.. or the history of this raga.
we have no interest in your state or language base comments...

@rameshpvn78: Sri Purandaradasa is the one who formalized Karnataka Music notation, developed foundation Raagas which could be easily learned and thought. His contribution is undeniably the most important in the history of Karnataka Sangeetha.

He developed the alphabets. Others wrote novels using it.

ur ego as kannadiga or tamilian has no place in God's world... this vain argument of superiority "my dad better than urs" has landed the country in deep shit! i think most of us have no iota of "bhakthi" and our devotion to the "tongue" is more than our devotion "heart" where the Lord is said to shine in all His splendor. Hundred Thyagarajas or Purandaradasas in whatever chronological order they come and sing we will stay where we are! Concentrate on the Lord and live in Unity! Pray for Bharath
