From the files of www.dragonrally.org.uk. For once the Dragon Rally (held each February in North Wales) was sunny and mild. This clip shows our group of riders cresting the Llanberis pass enroute to the rally site (this year it was near Beddgelert). The first bike is a Honda XBR 500 single sidecar outfit ridden by my brother on his first proper sidecar ride (the same sidecar can be seen with me riding it in a clip from 2007's Dragon at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPAjSLv7DRI ). Most of the other riders are from the UK's Thumper Club (www.thumperclub.com). BTW, Half of the riders have their arms raised so that they can give the ubiquitious biker's one-handed salute (fist against helmet).

You weren't the bloke in the tight red shiny spandex T-shirt were you? ;-) That was an inspired bit of fancy dress... and he went to the pub all afternoon dressed like that. It has to be said, the Dragon does bring some characters out of the woodwork.

Well we had it both ways really, glorious sunshine on the Saturday and that frost on the Sunday morning was severe enough to casue a lot of people starting problems. Someone told me the Elefant Rally was mild this year too (although it's always been bloody freezing when I've been there).
