  • has it been turbocharged?

  • Not yet. Will have a twin turbo setup completed in the next couple of weeks.

  • I've already done the same thing. I had the option to go a supra box (non-tubro) or a soarer 2.5 twin tubro box. The supra box was cheap. I ended destroying that in about 2 months. It happenend at low revs, lots of talk passing through it, 3rd gear went BANG. I looked into the soarer box. I was thinking because they are both 200kw. But be warned that gearbox also hates lots of torque at low revs. The v8 has lots more torque at 1000-2000rpm then the 6 cylinder.

  • It's been running fine for the last 3.5 years but the R154 from the Soarer is stronger.

  • I'm jealous! I want my V8 to be manual! :(

  • what sort of horsepower and boost are you going to try and achieve with the turbocharger setup??

  • dam thats a nice car! Lucky you have the power to pull you through I would kick your ass on the Apex! go wider longer & in the middle of the Apex GET ON IT! Good job ADS you make me NV you. RJB

  • Sounds nice however you should be boucing off the curbs especially turn 1 right up on the congrete through there otherwise good lines

  • LOOL... in the begining i thought the car was slow, cos i couldnt hear much, then you open up throttle and its absolutely mean :-D

    nicee vid. :-)

  • lmao around 4:55 porsche guy goes into grass, and dude that thing sounds mean i just got a 92 with a knokin engine , but i just got a full long block from an ls400 in a local junkyard think looks brand new inside (honey color) and it was only $150 bucks, not to mention i got the car for 800 =]

  • NICE! got a v8 soarer to. just stock, dropped on its arse. It makes that dingin sound yours did and comes up with a warning, to bad a cant read jap. Whats yours ding for on the first lap? nice work anyway go the v8 soarer. Sounds mean

  • I've herd about people who get away with the w58 or similar. But the r151/154 I would say is the go. If I was you I would clutch dump. Be careful in 3rd and 5th. I floored mine in 3rd and I did it suddenly. I should have probably used the r151 but instead I choose the dyna truck gearbox. It's guts is pretty much the same but stronger still. It's made for a diesel so I'm guessing 700nm of torque. The only problem is first gear is damn short but it's still lots of fun. Heaps better then auto.
