    Banjo is originally an African instrument even though it has evolved some since about 1835. Why shouldn't blacks embrace and reclaim thier own culture. Just because they were insulted during the Minstrel era does not mean they should not play a banjo now. If they don't the "black face minstels" win.

    Simple music for simple people? Pure, natural, and unadulterated music for the masses?
