Traumatic cataract after penetrating eye injury. Small self-sealing corneal laceration and large anterior capsule damage. At the beginning of surgery thee is no way of knowing if the posterior capsule is also damaged.

  • @dchamberss No posterior capsule damage. I always have a vitrector available if I should encounter vitreous. The outcome was good, 20/20 (can´t remember the refraction). The IOL was an Acrysof 3-piece, we use the MA50BM.

  • Was it (posterior cap damage)?

What was the outcome, VA? What IOL was used?

    Thanks for posting.
