When you look at the color of your roots, consider a few things. On natural, uncolored/bleached hair, roots tend to be darker than the lengths anyway. The only reason they look so dark is because your hair is such a light color right now. Even the roots of natural blondes look dark against platinum hair.

My hair was like a browny blonde and I started dying it, now it's like bleach blonde and when I get roots they look black and I mean BLACK. It's disgusting and annoying because my natural hair colour isn't even black!
