She replaced Charlie with Jesus. Big deal. She switched one messiah for another. Why do murderers almost always "find Jesus" in prison? Where was Jesus when they were out free, killing people? It's such a lame crutch.

well put...if she was remorseful and a changed woman, why put Tate's sister through this horror at each parole.....society can never be paid back by her crime. a juror gave a life sentence, she got it, she served it. justice.

If this woman convinces you in anyway, then google the tate/la bianca crime scene photos. Just to see Sharon covered in blood, with stab womb punctures and her pregnant belly lying there wants you to make sure these f***ing monsters never get to see the light of day in this physical reality.

Whether on drugs, or influence by a deranged sociopathic nutter, she still had a choice. The crimes she commited were so brutal and sadistic, there is no way society and myself would want this woman to be free. She can repent as much as she can, but there is a cause and effect here, and that cannot be undone.

Oh so Lucid! She was a chameleon who rose to challenges like an evil conniver. Never once did she or the others contact directly those victim's familiy survivors. They should stay where they are. She died right where she deserved to be. BTW Jesus Christ deserves a lot more RESPECT than what she and the other so-called cheap jailhouse born agains try to preach.

Has anyone noticed that Atkins gave different versions of the "I found Jesus" crap, over the years? Here it's 1972, but during a 1978 interview, she said she found jesus in 76.

Frankly, I think the fact that she became a "born-again Christian" is a BAD sign; it shows that she is still very easily led into delusional thinking. Just once I'd like to see an inmate say to a parole board: "I've realized that I was easily brainwashed, and after long, careful studying, I am an atheist."

@larrynod Why indeed. So what if they find God and accept Christ as their savior? Being a born again Christian does not entitle them to a "get out of jail free" card. She died paralayzed on one side of her body and one leg amputated and her body ravaged by cancer. That's her punishment.

It has been said that God forgives everybody for their sins even when there are sins that are beyond human forgiveness. Human forgiveness came when she drew her last breath and she died of cancer. Why is it that mass murderer's like her and Charles Watson only find Jesus Christ after committing their dastardly deeds? It may be worthy of admiration that she has confessed to her sins and has asked for forgiveness, but it must not obscure or erase the fact of what she did.
