Hot from the "In The Present" tour, delivered straight to your door... with added lyrical goodness.

Actually, this was a lot easier to make than it looks (with the right "know-how") - so I'll just 'leave it' for the Yes fan viewers (and others) to appreciate.

And check out my other Yes videos.

  • P.S. - Calling a band Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant as the lead singer is along the same lines as this bullshit. Maybe this guy can be their lead singer too! (lol) :)

  • Hey, "man"... coincidence...

    "Led Zeppelin Karaoke Adventure (HiQ)"

Start practising!!! (or at least watch it)

  • From Chris himself...

"I wanted to do this one new song, which is one of the songs that Ive been working on with Steve Hackett. The version that I do with Yes on stage is a very different version that features Oliver Wakeman on keyboards. Its a song not heard before, called Aliens Are Only Us From the Future."

I hope people can now just enjoy the music, instead of fuming about it. I have my own long standing opinions about Yes, too, of course - but so does everyone else here.

  • NOTE: "Astral Traveller (2008)" (with remixed sound) is the official video respose to this.

  • Dreadful song. Embarrassing to me as a long-time Yes fan.

  • I'm tossing as to whether do Astral Traveller now - as it's the best of the other songs they do/did. But the recording is a bit rough...

  • AWFUL !!!

Hey, Chris! Stick to the bass.

And the lyrics..? My 10 years old son, have better ones than this. I wonder what were Anderson's thoughts when Squire brought 'em to his attention (probably "haven't you learned anything from me during all these years...?"

Thank you for posting. It's rare, right..... RARE PIECE OF SHIT!!

(I never thought saying this about a song of my fav band)

But well, is a Squire's song, (not my fav person after what he did to Jon)

  • Get out your tinfoil hats lol. This is probably their funniest song. They should have used it as an intro for Arriving UFO :p

  • This is not the music that grew out of psychedelic rock. Perhaps I am turning on my masters, but I say it's time for a change! I am sure we ALL know about Moogs and Maestro pedals and horseshoe pickups and 11-8 time signatures and harmonic experimentation and generally getting musical instruments to do things they weren't designed to do by now. If prog is going to be pulled out of the fire, we're going to have to do it ourselves! Come on people, who's with me?!

  • Absolutely Awful !

  • THE WORST YES SONG OF ALL-TIME...A DISGRACE TO THE BRAND NAME--YES!!!

  • NOT YES! but ok, but NOT YES!

  • @chutch15 Oh dear....I am a die hard Yes fan too...and I disagree...Even if Chris sounds a bit flat at times I think it is a beautiful song and VERY YES.

  • I've never liked Chris Squire as a lead singer but he is particularly bad here. I was looking forward to hearing the future Hackett/Squire album, but I'm not so sure now. My first red flag was when Squire was praising Hackett as a good singer. Well, compared to this, he is!

Interesting concept though: Aliens are only us from the future.

  • @DannyKisawesome

Man, I saw the tour with the orchestra in Milan. It was the best show I've ever seen, I can assure you. That was a GREAT idea.

And the acoustic tour? In my opinion it was a GREAT idea too. A different and more intimate perspective on Yes' music.

Jon Anderson is a master of music.

I knew about the "rap opera" idea. It's just a musical path... I respect that man, and you should too.

We'll talk about it when (and if) the rapo opera comes out.

    ^^
