I just flew a commercial flight recently, and the plane I flew on was in the worst condition possible. I paid for the ticket. I find it unbelievable that these planes that used to fly the presidents, sit in a friggin museum now. What a waste of tax payer money!!!

@global001 the 747 came during george HW bushes presidency not clinton. clinton and bush senior used both plane although clinton used the 747 more. just because it said kennedy to clinton doesn't mean the 747 came in the middle of his presideny. bush jr also used sam 27000 another 707 sometimes until 2003. e also used the 747 at the same time. and now obama uses the same 747 but sometimes he uses a modified 757 as air force one for runways that can't haddle the 747 and sometimes a gulfstreem.

Thanks for the great memories. The first time I visited the states in April '08 I drove to Dayton and visited the museum. All those planes...just like being a kid in a lolly shop.

God Clinton started out with such a dud plane. No wonder he was so excited when Boeing delivered him a new 747!

wow the same plane LBJ was sworn in on after he had JFK killed by the CIA.I'm going there to check that out.
