i recently bought an iMac and i'm in love with it. i never owned any apple product besides an ipod and i didn't realized what i was missing until now lol. the last time i used a Mac for any amount of time was about 8 years ago, and only for a few minutes. did you ever get a Mac by any chance?

Most Gamers are more experienced PC Users, many of whom build their own. Macs are for unexperienced consumers and newbs....
A real geek would NEVER own a mac...

Rosie O'Donnell speaks the truth in this video. I think every lesbian should buy a Mac.

Dell was on the road to failure before the recession.
In five years, they will be the new Gateway. Remember when Gateway was #1? I do.

I honestly think most of Dell's worries are due to the recession and decreased purchases overall, rather than their products themselves.
-
I didn't say that they lost money per unit. i said that they lose money on the whole. If dell actually sold what they made, they'd be doing fine. But they don't. They only sell some of what they make and they eat plastic on the rest.
Apple made the SAME mistake in the 90's with the Perfoma line. That's why Apple doesn't make a Mid-Tower now because they learned about the mistake that dell is making, the hard way.

Dell's selling just as many computers are they did last year, same quarter then? Every time I read an article it says they're making a significant amount less sales. Which would certainly explain a decrease in profits.
The rest of your message proved my point. They're not losing money per unit in actual costs in manufacturing, they're losing it from making less sales of different products.
Dell does not spend more to produce a computer than they sell it for, to my knowledge.
All of your arguments are worth jack shit.

1) Try using that Mac of yours to reduce some of the noise in your audio recording.
2) It's not just games, it carries over to the entire software library. Windows has a far greater amount of programs as the most widely used operating system.
3) I can think of another reason besides games, price. Apple sells products that cater to specific niches, and carry a premium price. The average consumer doesn't need an ultra-portable or All-in-One.
