@F9eEe9 devices like this have 3g modems in them that are capable of also making voice calls (eg the mini-pcie card Huawei EM770) this may use the same or something similar the device comes with software to use the voice calling feature of the 3g modem

how you did that? i have an att prepaid sim card. and i wanna get that htc shift because it is what i really need. cell phone, internet tablet, laptop, and gps navigation system! so can you describe a little bit more about your htc shift and is there any hacks to get it work like yours? and if it will work on a prepaid sim card or not, that will be really helpful. thank you ;)
