@Thebanjofellah You are right it was a power play by the North. In the south about 6% of the people had slaves. Most of the "whites" there were poor not rich land owners. They used to call them "white trash" you would more recognize the term used today "trailer trash". The South fought for freedom, states rights and self-government. Lincoln wanted all states to give up rights to the FED. Lincoln was not honest nor nobel. He was a tyrant.

fuck no! The war wasn't started because of slavery. It was because taxes and as you said ow the country should be run. Mr Abe said it was about slavery because the brittish wouldn't join the south.
