Hi,
All of Slick's guitars (Strat style single humbucker) were built from DiMarzio guitar parts at our factory. When I saw the Bowie's London show, I planned several models red, blue, black and pearl white all with matching necks. It was Slick's idea to only have one X2N in the bridge and no tone control. He had no idea that they were going have matching necks so when I delivered the first red guitar it was a big surprise. He loved it and the rest is history.
