Which part of the design is poor exactly? Maybe you'd like to design one your self and show us how its really done? If you actually bother to watch the video, it's not made out of plastic, it's poly carbonate which is stronger and more durable than plastic. As the video also states, this company is just starting up and had a lot of orders to fulfill, which is another reason why it's not made of metal. And what the hell are you talking about when you refer to notifications via Bluetooth?

It is the culmination of many older technologies to make a sick device that is new tech. Though, the only thing that gets me is the screen and lack of touch screen. Maybe in the second gen they will add a color touch screen that still has 7 days of battery life. Then they will have me sold.

Personally I think the watch itself actually looks pretty nice, but the band it comes on is horrid. Personally I can't stand rubber bands. Thankfully it's just a matter of grabbing any old metal 22mm band and you can fix it easily.

Amazingly some have been sold on flea-bay for as much as 300 GBP ! So while it may not look great to some, it is obviously in high demand, commanding a premium price.
