David Bowie stars as Bernie, an old school London gangster in this movie from 1998.
Contains possibly the worst scene I've ever seeen him act in at the end of the clip.

This film was in my opinion, his worst choice. Still, it's fun to see him South London himself up in a Michael Caine kind of way.

Film aka Everybody Loves Sunshine.

PS: I actually love Bowie's movie work and I know he's not the greatest actor in the world but in fact if you look very closely, he gives some really wonderful subtle performances; even in BUSTED in the scene where he has the gun against his head, (clip 2)... watch his hand when the gun is taken away...he trembles. It's small things like that that hardly anyone notices that make him a good actor for me. I think he can act when given the right role. Even the greatest actors struggle with bad scripts.

  • Watching this again (just because David Bowie is in it). Strange to see David handling a gun, it's not really his thing--violence. Maybe he liked the fun in acting the role. The movie was SHITE over all.

  • The movie is called 'AFTER THE SUNSHINE'

  • This is a really, really bad movie. Like, really bad. I watched it purely because I saw Bowie was in it, but not even he could save it, neither could the really hot male and female lead actors (although they were a nice surprise). Seriously, this movie is that bad, although I can appreciate and respect the positive message behind the movie, which is obviously that violence is fucking stupid.

  • i also want to know the name of that song in 2:03

  • Hmmmph, where to start. First, I love and adore David Bowie as much if not more than the next DB fan. He is a Fantastic actor, but this film was just not a good film overall. I think he chose this role because if was dark, interesting, challenging, and not pre-packaged. He also probably has an affinity for the director. David takes calculated risks. No matted what I think of the movie, his role had some solid acting in it. I'd like to see him in more things. Thanks for putting this up!

  • can anyone please OH PLEASE tell me what song plays @ 2:03? The soundtrack is just impossible to find!!

  • Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!

  • Lmao!

  • I love how one of david's pupils are more dilated than the other! HE IS SO FREAKING HOT!!!! Only its sad that whenever i see scenes from movies he has done i only see his face as Jareth from the 'Labyrinth'.......curse my short sighted mind..... :P

  • Wow, the end was awkward.

    :`D
