My day with the Monster Quest team

I happened to be in the area when part of this episode was shot. Jaime Avalos (center) knew I was nearby and contacted me.
Along with what you see here, there was also acoustic testing of the noise level of the aircraft by making several overflights of the airstrip at varying altitudes while recording the noise levels on the ground. There was a thermal imager attached to the starboard wing pointing down, and it's output was being recorded on a portable DVR. There were also arrangements for a chase plane, but I'm not sure if they flew together or not...I had left my wife fishing and had to get back to camp.
I got to speak at length with Dr. Jeff Meldrum, which was a true pleasure. He's on Jaime's left in the video.
It was a fun day!
