UC Davis Health System presented another in its ongoing series of community forums about stem cell research. The topic for this evening's "Stem Cell Dialogues" was Healing Bone and Cartilage Injuries and Conditions. Speakers included UC Davis biomedical engineer Kyriacos Athanasiou, orthopaedic surgeon Mark Lee and stem cell research expert Gerhard Bauer. They discussed new approaches and treatment opportunities for healing bone fractures and debilitating conditions such as knee injuries.
