@bluebirdvision That's really neat. It must be trunked then if it can do that. Our district is stuck with the poorly set up and installed radio system but another branch gets the top of the class. I don't get management in Cincinatti.
@02intlbluebird Here each bus has its own number on the radio and if your in the office or have a portable you can push "A" and type in the bus # and it'll put you on "side band" and the only ones that can hear you are the person that initiated side band, and the bus.
@02intlbluebird The funny part is that one town that used to work at our lot, which is neighboring towns with them, moved to their location and use their frequency. I was listening one day and they couldn't reach one of the Chester buses in the hills which was always our problem. I was shocked when I went into our bus dispatch and sat down and listened to how bad reception is with them.
@bluebirdvision Yeah, FM and analog are the same thing. I won't describe more because I'll lose ya, but, yes, I'm not impressed with the poor radio reception here. If you watch my Motorola GM 300 vid, Ch 1 is our bus company which is direct to direct where Ch 2 is a repeater and only dispatch is direct. I will have to make more videos of other agencies. There is another FS company about 45 minutes away from me where they are on UHF and have a repeater. I hear them clear as day on a scanner
Can you use a USB port or does it have to be a serial port?

@n8mrc You can use it with WinXP. XP automatically opens a DOS window for this program. The program is call KPG-7D.

@02intlbluebird Ours are trunked on FM signal. I'm not overly impressed at the static

@bluebirdvision No, the radio is VHF analog. I got like 5 channels on there that are repeater used but I only have direct signal codes.
