I can't believe it's been a year since he passed. I only heard of him from looking up this other band called Wavves. The name was the one that caught my attention, then I saw "the late Jay Reatard" and was shocked that he died that year. I feel cheated.

I think if I count anyone as my hero it'd be Jay Reatard. No one as bad ass as Jay. I hope there are more kids like me who've been inspired by him. Maybe there'll be more good music coming.
