Truth is the Camps lost their attempts to stop this madness. Rough and Ready and those commissioned by them to spray ttoxins have now done so. Forever ruining the Camps well and water souce, forcing them to seek another supply of water AND forever destroying the entire area adjacent to their property with toxins and deadly chemicals. This practice continues as we speak, unfortunately without most people even aware these practices are happening whereever clear cuts take place.
The mentality that thinks clear cutting is good in any way shape or form or will be fine over time is the same mentality that thinks the Gulf spill will be fine over time. The SCIENCE has proven otherwise, as with the Exxon spill. 21 yrs later still wrecking havoc and will do so far beyond our lifetimes. Same with clear cutting. Selective logging preserves the forest and provides jobs forever. Gee sounds good to me. Where clear cutting kills the forest and will not grow back in our lifetime.
@cowboyup343 , Your comments reveal your ignorance AND the fact you obviously don't have a well for your water supply. Nor know a thing about a healthy forest vs. a Dead one. Any poisons dumped, sprayed or depostited into, onto or within the range of a water source will and does contaminate the water, and THAT means NO water for them and their neighbors. And the Camps don't oppose logging, they oppose clear cutting, which also ruins the water supply. But what do you know ! ZIP !
This video is full of problems. 1. The logging occurred on private property, not BLM. 2. The herbicide used has no effects claimed in the video. 3. All practices fell well within Oregon laws. Finally, what gives Mr. Camp the right to dictate what his neibors do on their property? If, he doesnt want to cut his trees, then dont. But dont claim that other people need to do the same...
I'm not an Oregonian but I too am a tree hugger. Thank goodness there are folks who understand and respect our forests. Thank goodness for the Camps. Destructive practices like clear-cutting need to e stopped. It's our planet too.
I just hope Oregon doesn't allow them to replace any of those trees with GMO trees!
